ITANAGAR November 10,2014:Chief Minister Nabam Tuki has expressed his deep condolences on the sudden demise of Taring Ranjeeb, who breathed his last at Itanagar on Sunday evening.
In a condolence message this morning Tuki said, "Late Ranjeeb was a first generation social activist from Palin-Chambang area of Kurung Kumey district, who immensely contributed in socio-cultural development of his community and society. The void left by him will be difficult to fill for years."
Paying tributes to the late social activist, Tuki remembered his association with late Ranjeeb and prayed for his eternal peace in heavenly abode and strength to his family members and well-wishers.
"Besides being a prominent figure with vast knowledge and experience, late Ranjeeb was a strong political as well as social activist. He contributed to the development of the society all through his life in various capacities," Tuki asserted.
In his early days late Ranjeeb was the first General Secretary of the Government Secondary School, Palin in 1984-85. He later joined politics and was very active from his area during and after the un-divided Lower Subansiri district. He was Chairman of the Environment & Forest Cell in 1994-95. He was Member, District Land Allotment Advisory Board, Lower Subansiri and Chairman, Donyi-Polo Vidya Bhavan.
He was also the Founder Chairman of the Ranjeev College of Fine Arts, Itanagar.
