Lossar Greetings

ITANAGAR,February 18, 2015: Chief Minister Nabam Tuki has extended greetings to the people on occasion of Lossar, the most significant festival of the Buddhist Community of Western Arunachal Pradesh. The festival marks the Monpa New Year and is celebrated with great splendor and grandeur.

In a message this evening, the Chief Minister prayed that everything evil and unpleasant may be thwarted away in the New Year by the blessings of Lord Buddha.

"May this Lossar and New Year of the Monpas be filled with happiness and prosperity," he said.

While making offerings to Lord Buddha, the Chief Minister wished ‘Tashi Delek’ to all.
